The Barbers

Don’t get a haircut. Get a Barber.

The Barbers of Green Gate are bringing back the spirit of old school barbering. We don’t think a man should go to a barbershop just to get a haircut. You should be going to see your barber. Your barber is the man you can trust. He’s a listener, a counselor, a joker, a learner and a friend. We want to get to know you, first as professionals, but in time as comrades. Learn more about us below.

Jeff moved to St. George from Kansas in June of 2017 with his beautiful wife Molly and newborn daughter Keely. He grew up in the plains of central Kansas and earned a bachelor’s degree from a small university called Southwestern College where he was an all-conference wide receiver on the football team. After a brief stint playing arena football, Jeff earned a Master’s degree from Shepherd’s Theological Seminary. While serving at his local church, Jeff went to barber school and began working at a small town shop in his hometown of Winfield, Kansas. Early in 2017 Sam presented Jeff with an opportunity to move to St. George and serve alongside him in the barbershop and in ministry. This was an opportunity that couldn’t be ignored.

Brant grew up in the small town of Moroni, Utah, but eventually landed in St. George in 2020. When he is not busy memorizing the lines of every movie you’ve ever seen, Brant is an avid musician. He started playing piano at the age of 7 and discovered his love for learning and playing all things music. He has played in an Indie Rock band “The Bombshell Flowers” since 2012 and continues to record and play with them today. Naturally, Brant can often be found on the shop porch with his guitar strumming old time and modern classics between clients.
